LAS VEGAS, March 21 (UPI) -- Rock singer Vince Neil said at a Nevada airport his new jet fleet will offer private charter passengers a rock and roll-themed journey.
The Las Vegas Sun said the Motley Crue lead singer unveiled his three-jet group at McCarran International Airport Thursday, saying the airport will serve as the main base of Vince Neil Aviation.
Neil said his Hawker 700, Gulfstream and Lear 35 jets will offer private charter service from Las Vegas to locations such as New York, Phoenix and even Canada or Mexico.
"In fact, I took the Gulfstream down to South America for our last tour, and we stopped in Aruba for a few days' vacation on the way home to Vegas," Neil, 49, said.
The Sun said each of jets comes with fuselage covered with painted flames and is filled with rock and roll-themed furnishings. Pilots and flight attendants will also be provided for interested charter passengers.

It’s that time of year again! I hope you will join me and several of my favorite “Girls, Girls, Girls,” for the 14th Annual Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament!
In 1995, I lost my daughter Skylar to cancer. Since then, I’ve committed myself to doing everything I can to raise awareness and much needed funding for children’s illnesses. To date, my Skylar Neil Foundation has donated nearly two million dollars to various children’s charities, funding important work and research. I am very proud of all we have been able to achieve over the last dozen years.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or if you would like to donate an item to our gift bags, auction or raffle, please click on the Sponsortab above, or contact tournament coordinators Alan Koenig at 615-972-1600 (or via email at [email protected]) or Jon Scott at 818-981-9876 (or via email at [email protected]) to discuss these and many other ways you can get involved.
If you are interested in playing in the tournament, please complete and return the golfer registration form as soon as possible. Each year, we sell out very quickly. Individual and team entries are reserved with payment only, on a first come – first served basis. Act now to avoid disappointment.
Eradicating childhood illness is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, so I hope that you will find it in yours to become a part of the 14th Annual Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament.

The CD was recorded with bassist Dana Strum and Jeff Blando (both ofSLAUGHTER) and drummer Zoltan Chaney. At least two cover tracks were reportedly laid down during the sessions — CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL's "Who'll Stop The Rain?" and SEX PISTOLS'"No Feelings".
The "Tattoos & Tequila" title track, which was was written and produced by Marti Frederiksen (AEROSMITH, DEF LEPPARD, OZZY OSBOURNE), and the accompanying video are available for free download atwww.vinceneil.net. You can also use the widget below.
In a recent interview with The News Tribune, Vince stated about the upcoming CD's title, "It's rock 'n' roll. That's it. It has nothing to do withMÖTLEY CRÜE. Tattoos and tequila is basically my life."
Vince told Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun last week that his voice is in great shape as he approaches his 50th birthday, and although the CRÜEis not touring again until early summer, he will be on the road with his solo band until then.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Neil is also writing a book akin to MÖTLEY's autobiography, "The Dirt", with Esquire writer Mike Sager.

METHODS OF MAYHEM -A Public Disservice Announcement
A title like Public Mayhem isn't serious enough business for Tommy Lee and Methods Of Mayhem anymore.
See, that's what Lee was going to call the new Methods album, but he's changed his mind and the disc will now be called A Public Disservice Announcement. (At least he's picked an appropriate title?)
Methods Of Mayhem's sophomore release will be out sometime in May, though a specific day has not yet been decided.
A Public Disservice Announcement was recoded in a rather unorthodox manner. Lee and producer Scott Humphrey (Rob Zombie, Andrew W.K.) and a team of other people uploaded parts of each song onto ThePublicRecord.com for people to download and add their own parts and submit them for possible inclusion on the record. Lee listened to every part and picked his favourites, and each player will get credit on the album.
"This really was one of the most incredible experiences I've had making a record, other than the first time I made a record — because there's nothing quite like popping your cherry!" Lee said, according to Blabbermouth.net.
"This record was the craziest thing ever. Parts were sent in from all over the world by people wanting to participate in the first once-in-a-lifetime global collaboration. It was insane, dude!"
No track listing for A Public Disservice Announcement has been revealed yet, but its first single, "Time Bomb," should come out sometime this month.
Lee began Methods Of Mayhem in 1999 after leaving Motley Crue. It was originally supposed to be a collaborative project with rapper TiLo (who has since left the group), but grew to include then former Jane's Addiction members Chris Chaney and Stephen Perkins and Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike.
Methods Of Mayhem's 1999 self-titled album featured guest appearances from Fred Durst, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, George Clinton, The Crystal Method and Lil Kim, among others. The group split in 2000, but reunited last year with a new lineup.
Lee rejoined Motley Crue in 2004 and continues to play with the band.

MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy Kilmister was interviewed on this past Monday's (March 8) edition of "Sixx Sense", the new national radio program hosted by MÖTLEY CRÜE/SIXX: A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx.
The Saints of Los Angeles are picking up where Saint Nick left off.
The timing of Mötley Crüe’s aptly titled Dead of Winter Canadian tour is all Santa’s fault, laughs guitarist Mick Mars.
“He started it,” cracks the 58-year-old glam-rocker from sunny Southern California. “He said he was going to have us delivered by Dec. 25 and he lied, so now we gotta make it up, to make him look good.”
And just to stick with the Yuletide theme, the Crüe — which also includes bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and singer Vince Neil — have been making a set list, and checking it twice.
“The original plan was to do the full Dr. Feelgood album as a 20th anniversary thing,” Mars says. “It was a thing a lot of bands were doing — Judas Priest did British Steel all the way through on their last tour, and Iron Maiden did their whole new album. So it seemed like a good idea. And we tried it, and it was cool. But I felt it had too many ups and downs; I felt we lost the crowd.
“So now we’re doing kind of a mixture of everything — but mostly, it’s the heavier songs from every album. Not too many ballads or mid-tempo songs. It should be a good show.”
Before packing his sleigh and heading to their first date in Victoria on Saturday, Mars — who suffers from the degenerative orthopedic condition ankylosing spondylitis — took a few minutes to talk to us about his health, touring with his hero Joe Perry, and how he and his Crüemates are getting along these days. Here’s some of what he had to say.
And remember, kids: Hail Santa!
So, you’re touring Canada in the winter. Were you hoping to cash in by being the only game in town at this time of year?
Oh, I don’t know about that. I mean, we’ve got Joe Perry opening for us. So right there, we’re not the only game in town.
Speaking of Joe, is it kind of weird to have him opening for you?
You know, it is kind of weird. I used to listen to him. I think he might be a couple of years older than me
Actually, it’s only a few months.
Really? Well, see, that’s what I got jealous of — he had records out and I was still wandering around, playing in cover bands and stuff, trying to make ends meet. And later, we used to open up for bands like Aerosmith. So to turn it around is ironic.
He seems to enjoy jamming. Are you hoping to get together?
With Joe? I plan on it. I’m going to make a point of it. Either I’m going to go onstage with him, or I’m going to make him come on with us. I’ll make him! I’ll twist his arm off!
See, you guys are like brothers! So, do you even have to rehearse before you tour anymore?
Oh sure. We did it last week. We just finished day before yesterday.
Have you started working on new material to follow up Saints of Los Angeles?
I have at least 50 ideas for some new songs for Mötley. Everybody in the band writes on their own and has their own thing. Tommy’s doing his solo album, Mick is doing Sixx:AM again and Vince is touring. And I’m writing songs for a solo album as well. But we’ve got a bunch of ideas we can collaborate on some time.
Would you rather have it happen sooner than later?
I’d rather have it happen before we tour in 2011, so we not only have a new tour but a new album to go with it. But we’ll have to see what happens.
How are you guys getting along? The usual ups and downs?
Yep. It’s just like family feud. One week, it’s like, ‘Hey, you’re the best!’ And the next week, it’s like, ‘Hey, go f--- yourself!’
Are they never going to respect you for being their elder?
Who, those guys? Guess what? They’ve all caught up! They’re all like, ‘Oh man, this is getting rough to get up and do every night.’ So now they can relate.
Talking about that, I have to ask you about your AS. How are you doing these days?
Good. I’m cool with it. Sometimes it gets painful, but it is what it is. I don’t want sympathy or violins.
I read that Vince has started up a charter-jet service. Is he actually a pilot?
Oh, no. He doesn’t fly.
Because I was wondering if he was going go start flying you guys, like Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden. Would you get in the plane if Vince was flying?
1When guests talk to people who've been there, like you, do you think they open up more than they would to other radio hosts?
I remember very early on [I was supposed] to start the interview with 'Hey, this is Nikki Sixx.' I'm not doing that. When I talk to Ozzy [Osbourne], I don't say, 'Hey, Ozzy, it's Nikki Sixx!' I say, 'Hey, Ozzy, what's up, man?' And he's like, 'Oh, I'm picking my nose' or whatever. That's how we do our interviews. It's two musicians talking. [Or] a musician and a painter, a musician and a photographer, a musician and a new artist. That's what happens.... But the conversation that happens on air is just people talking.
2The show's a lot more than just rock. Was there any concern about people putting you into the Mötley Crüe/metal box?
If they wanted me to do just a metal show, it was just not gonna happen. I want to play lots of music. Some new music, some classic music. Some stuff that's really on the tip of everyone's tongue. But I also want to have some fun with it.... I love feeding information out there, whether it's what's going on in the automotive industry to funny stuff to the stuff about the current state of the world that most rock stations wouldn't want to report on. We certainly slither through the day with an agenda of being different from everybody else.
3You've got some pretty interesting dream guests -- you've mentioned Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan. Who'd be the ultimate dream guest?
I'd be interested in talking to the family of [Beat Generation author] William Burroughs. What was it like having William Burroughs in your life? What was it like with Hunter S. Thompson, working with him on a project?
4So what's it like being in Nikki Sixx's life?
My life is like everybody else's life. I've had all the ups and downs like everybody else has. Sometimes it's been magnified and sometimes it's amplified. It's obviously different when you're in your early 20s and you have the kind of success we had in Mötley Crüe -- and still continue to have in Mötley Crüe -- and at the same time going through heroin addiction and writing a book that helped a lot of people and spawning a new band out of that.... When I'm talking to somebody who's had similar experiences, it opens them up.
5You have some pretty interesting rock-star neighbors, don't you? [Sixx told USA Today that his neighbors include Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen and rock guitarist Slash.]
I have a lot of crazy neighbors. [Mötley Crüe drummer] Tommy [Lee] was looking for a house in my neighborhood, and Tommy's the loudest guy I've ever met in my life. He has more energy and more volume -- man, I love Tommy to death, but I sure hope he's not my neighbor.

MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil and his solo band completed a successful South American tour with a sold-out appearance in Sao Paulo, Brazil on February 27. The trek included four concerts in four countries in as many days and included additional shows in Santiago, Chile; Santa Cruz, Bolivia; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The tour's promoter, Gabe Reed, commented that "the response by the fans to this tour was amazing. We had sold out shows at each stop and Vince was in great form. Now we are off to spend some beach time in Aruba!"
